Arcadia Gastronomique, founded by Chef Andrés and Ruth Ruiz in 2010, is renowned for its exceptional culinary offerings and innovative approach to traditional Spanish cuisine. Chef Ruiz Mesa, a visionary in the culinary world, has built a reputation for blending classic Spanish techniques with modern twists, creating a dining experience that is both authentic and unique.
Our History
Andrés Ruiz Mesa, originally from the Canary Islands, comes from a family with deep hospitality roots; his parents met while working at the Royal Palace of Spain. Despite the challenges of Spain’s post-civil war economic hardships, they persevered while raising six children, making the most of every ingredient in their cooking. “During this time, you couldn’t be picky about your food,” Mesa reflects. Driven by his passion for Spanish cuisine, Mesa moved to Australia in 2002 and quickly fell in love with the country.
